Marie, Last Week

Letzte Woche war Marie für ein paar Tage bei meiner Frau und mir zu Besuch. Wir hatten dafür auch einige Shootingtage eingeplant – ihre ersten nach fünf Monaten Pause, von denen sie einen großen Teil in einer Klinik verbracht hat, um an ihrer Essstörung zu arbeiten. (Marie spricht offen sowohl auf Instagram als auch auf ihrem eigenen Patreon-Account [https://www.patreon.com/Maries_Gallery] darüber und weiß von meinem heutigen Post. Andernfalls würde ich diese Information selbstverständlich nicht öffentlich teilen.)

Marie hatte mir im Vorfeld erzählt, dass sie sich in ihrem etwas veränderten Körper noch nicht ganz zuhause fühlt. Deshalb haben wir die Shootings am ersten Tag sehr behutsam und emotional begonnen. Anders als bei unseren früheren Shootings wollte Marie anfangs auch keine Bilder auf der Kamera oder am Computer sehen – und mehr als sonst habe ich sie das Tempo und die Stimmung des Shootings bestimmen lassen.

Umso mehr habe ich mich gefreut, dass Marie beim Betrachten der Bilder nach unseren Shootings gesagt hat, dass sie sich darauf viel schöner findet, als sie sich zu diesem Zeitpunkt in ihrem Körper gefühlt hat. Sie war von den Bildern des ersten Shootings so begeistert (und ich glaube, sie war selbst etwas überrascht davon), dass sie mich direkt danach – als wir wieder zu Hause waren – gebeten hat, gleich hier im Wohnzimmer vor meinem mobilen Hintergrundsystem weiterzushooten.

Last week, Marie stayed with my wife and me for a few days. We had planned some photo shoot days for her stay—her first after a five-month break, much of which she spent in a clinic working on her eating disorder. (Marie talks openly about this both on Instagram and on her own Patreon account [https://www.patreon.com/Maries_Gallery], and she knows about this post today. Of course, I would never share this information publicly otherwise.)

Marie had told me beforehand that she still doesn’t quite feel at home in her somewhat changed body. That’s why we started the first day’s shoots very gently and emotionally. Unlike our previous sessions, Marie didn’t want to see any images on the camera or computer at first—and even more than usual, I let her set the pace and mood of the shoot.

That’s why I was especially happy when Marie told me, after looking at the photos, that she found herself much more beautiful in the pictures than she had felt in her body at that moment. She was so taken with the images from our first shoot (and I think she was a bit surprised by it herself) that she immediately asked me—when we got back home—to keep shooting right there in our living room in front of my portable backdrop.
