Concept sketches for the protagonist for a cyber-apocalypse story I'm developing. Julia Carbide is a veteran full body cyborg in a post-robo-war world that has developed a nasty distaste for robots despite them being necessary for survival in a collapsed biosphere.
These are some sketches of her cyber-body during the war, when she was in her cyber-prime. There's gonna be a bunch of types of cyborgs in the story, but Julia is really top-tier cutting edge military hardware. Wanted something that was very close to human anatomy, on the theory that it'd minimize training time. Sure, you could give your cyber soldiers 4 arms and 8 legs, but they'd have no idea how to use them. Meanwhile they've decades of experience moving 4 limbs, 10 fingers and toes and so on. Probably not final designs. Will draw more types of cyborgs and robots and shit down the line. But first/second thoughts on the character.
This was also a nice opportunity to brush up on my anatomy practice. Gotta know where the muscles actually are before you replace them with memory metals and smart polymers.
