A message from the Director Halo 4:FUTD
Added 2024-02-24 09:38:40 +0000 UTCSomeone slid into my DM's this morning!! Turns out it was a message from the Director of Halo Forward Unto Dawn.
The reason I'm uploading this is I wanted to share with you that sometimes, when you make something or do something for others, you never know who's watching or how it can affect someone emotionally. Thinking about making some art, video, a YouTube channel even?? Go for it! You never know.
P.S. There's a documentary I made titled A Bikers Life For Me on my YouTube channel. I made that purely for University as it was part of my course. When I rebooted the channel to what it is now, I deleted all my video except that one. The reason I didn't delete that film is every year on a specific date and sometimes more a guy (viewer) watches that documentary to cheer himself up. The fact it carries so much weight for someone yet I made it to pass my course blows my mind and really woke me up as a storyteller.
All I can say guys is go for it, whatever it is, do it! Just make sure it's legal yeah ;D

2024-11-15 17:03:22 +0000 UTCThe director and myself have spoken some more via DM and it's interesting to hear his reaction to my negative comments on the slowmo and super out of focus stuff. He totally understood my point and it shows you, that we are never perfect when we make films/commercials or any story for that matter. It's good feedback if you've got a point and it's important to continue to learn. Sadly, he mentioned that he doesn't touch narrative projects (at the moment) due to licking his wounds over his last feature. I said wear them with honour, at least you were there doing what you love. (Not exactly how I said it but pretty much). Maybe one day I could ask him to do an interview for you guys... christ knows what I'd ask him though but I'm sure something would pop up.
