I'm not going to lie, this is one of the best commercials I have ever seen and I will be using it when I teach college/university students, that's how good it is. The breakdown got me all excited! Lots to learn here and I'm going to explain why this cinematic hit as hard as it did. Let's go!

Man, I remember back when all the Halo 3 and ODST marketing was happening. Halo was an absolute juggernaut back then.

Also something I wanted to add, I noticed a lot of the halo commercials or trailers use foreshadowing or "loop" the story like in this one (passing the torch to the younger guy). Seems like a theme that comes up a lot in halo, ending where you began.
