I had to take a break from filming YouTube for a day to actual go film the real world!! 3 am pick up for a flight, fly to location and film! Sometimes and very rarely for me, I'm asked to help by being just a camera operator.
I thought I'd take a few shots to share with you from my recent work trip. I've actually just purchased a new camera that I can take with me so I can share more behind the scenes stuff on my life and with work. Hopefully you'd like to see some more of that and please let me know if there is something you'd like to see or hear!!
The reason I'm on this trip: This is my colleagues (boss) project and I have a certain style he likes. I manipulate the gimbal (the stick looking device) a certain way to replicate what you get in movies. You're looking for vanishing points in your compositions, movement to lead the audiences eyes etc and the client Kimberly-Clark in this case love that shit! It makes their films look another level higher regarding quality and when they share it with the world, it makes them look the best, more expensive. It's all about image.
If there is anything you want to know about this shoot or if you have a question about the film talk above, please just ask! Kai
