STAR ENGINE | THE FUTURE OF GAMING!! | IS THIS REAL!?

More Star Citizen content due to popular demand but this time, I've been promised the future of gaming... but is it!? One shot, epic worlds, total nonstop! Let's go!!

The fact that this has given me a glimpse of the future or tech that's almost here, gaming is heading in the right direction. As I say in the video, even if it isn't this studio, the gaming industry is really being pushed and I can not wait to experience it. The idea of being able to tell a story however you like in a world you like is mind blowing for me. Oh boy, I'm dreaming.

STAR ENGINE | THE FUTURE OF GAMING!! | IS THIS REAL!?

Comments

Fun fact! Everything you saw in this video is actually ingame footage. Everything in the game, the distances, planets and every millimeter of the space is playable and rendered in real time. No loading zones (except when you die or go to jail). Kills the CPU and needs at least 32Gb of RAM to play though😂 And another fun fact. It was initially built on the same game engine when they made Crysis game

Dan Söderström

Yes, more behind the scenes, they talk about the lighting improvements, the editing of story cinematics into the gameplay, show some of the motion capture and give some glimpses into the overall story.

Tamberello

It shows how the made the cinematics and shows alot more of the singleplayer

I'm not going to lie, I'm excited about it!

Appreciate you getting around to this one! The wormholes that allow travel between star systems were recently added to live alpha. Here is what it looks like to use those in-game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2S36J2kMO0 Some interesting new things were shown in the CitizenCon presentation; jungle and swamp biomes, inclement weather systems, player org base building (terrestrial and in space), the new Nyx and Castra systems, a large desert sandworm battle, and most importantly, a roadmap to a 1.0 release which includes their vision for endgame content for large scale player organizations. If you're wondering when Star Citizen will reach 1.0 (out of alpha, "release"), don't believe anyone who says it will happen before 2030, and that's being optimistic, from a long time supporter and fan of the project. As for SQ42, I do believe it will see release in '26 or '27.

Zeke

Recommending the "I Held The Line" video, kind of a behind the scenes of SQ42.

Any updates on the arcane season 2 reactions

What does people think of showing Kai CitCon 2954? It's less cinematic but it does show what the game has to offer https://youtu.be/TzDbD0ttDu0?feature=shared
