Every creator that has actually play tested the game has liked it (which there were a lot of play testers) people who wont even be into a game even like this saying its dead on arrival do not matter in the first place.

2025-04-20 00:28:53 +0000 UTCI love the style and world , no wonder, as I loved "the witness" from love death & robots, which was the same director i believe, one of the best short cinematics that I've seen, ever, in terms of direction. however the game itself looks boring, and it's an extraction shooter unfortunately, general consensus is that people are not interested, and there is a large distaste for the game being done in the genre that is was. Anyway, just for information, marathon, the series has been around since the 90s I believe (think doom 1-2 and duke nukemera) there is 2 old games, I don't know a great deal about the world however, even the old games threw questions with little answers from what I've heard at times. Though it is meant to be a lore heavy series. Anyway really good trailer, glad people recommended it, and you enjoyed it. Any ETA for death stranding? 🙂

The "robots" are runners, they are just a robot (extremely high tech) but with a human mind implanted into it. When you die you are put into a new runner/shell and continue your mission which is to get paid while ransacking tau ceti IV (the planet) for corporations. If you didnt notice all the actual human died of strange causes that are unexplainable (a anomaly caused by an ancient alien race) so they have to use the runners to actually step on tau ceti. While they are raiding it, they are being hunted by UESC, the space police in a way bc this is not a public place you can just be on its military only site.

So he's at least partially responsible for the animation revolution era that we're currently in. And no there was no motion capture used apparently he doesn't use it at all and it's all keyframed from reference footage.
