Added 2025-04-09 12:18:11 +0000 UTCThat dreaded scene I was not looking forward to is here and here a lot sooner than I was expecting! We also start the epilogue in this video, another thing I wasn't expecting but this game keeps on hitting me with surprises. I love that!
Kai Note: I know some of you are going to be disappointed that the music has been cut in certain places, this was not me and is the version I sadly watched but it didn't add or subtract from the scene. I have also in my own time watched the death scene a few times and it was amazing with the music but didn't change how I felt about it, you'll see what I mean.
I believe the "Final Ride has been removed from this too, I'm sad for you guys but for me, I get to experience it when I play for myself. I have started, granted only for a few hours.
When I watch these reaction videos, I can only see what's in them so if it's been cut, to me, it never existed. This game in a bizarre way has many more surprises for me to experience.
I contemplated asking my editor to put the music in the reaction video for you guys but I think for this, you should see exactly how I'm experience it. It may not be the best but at least I'm getting a chance to experience this awesome journey in some shape. I'm very grateful.

Not including the Hamish side missions is a goddamned crime. This playthrough does not deserve the RDR2 Movie title at all.

2025-04-11 18:25:23 +0000 UTCI'm sad you didn't get to see the final ride with us, its a beautiful moment, prolly one of the moments people watched from the start for :/ they laid so much pipe for that moment just for it to not be there which is a shame. but thank you for your insights over this masterpiece, this and the last of us are revered as the best story games of all time, except red dead 2 has an edge because it's an open world sandbox.

Arthur's last ride to camp and his death. I'm so sad you got so taken out of it that you laughed :( but it's not your fault. Thanks for the videos.

2025-04-09 20:40:15 +0000 UTCI really think hosea stood a importent tipping point in dutchs mind when it came to his reason we forget arthur was not the only one who lost a family member that day, Dutch knew him even longer but he definitely dishonored his memory. To think arthur gave most of his life and "gave everything I had" just to be let down when he is at his weakest by the man who was basically his father.

Stick with it for some of the top moments in the game. In answer to the free roaming bit… yes and then some (it adds the map from rdr1 to the south)

I was sad for her but I didn't feel it, I knew he was about. Not sure how or where yet but I knew. Knowing an answer isn't always a bad thing but for a scene like this, it didn't move me. A great example of knowing what's happening is in TLOU Part 2. That made me feel sick but it's because we knew what happened. Glad you commented and it's great you feel differently on the scene. Have you ever watched a prequel to something where the MC is about to die? You're never fully invested into the scene if you've seen the original. I've said it a few times, well he's alright.

2025-04-09 14:31:01 +0000 UTCI don't usually comment much but I have to disagree with a couple comments you've made about how knowing certain things about the future keeps us from being fully invested in the scene. Dramatic irony can create a different kind of investment. Knowing John is alive creates a tension between what we know and what the characters know. In this case it adds to the tension in the group itself. Our investment isn't in being in Abigail's sadness, but in the suspicion of betrayal and deception of Dutch and Micah, which leads perfectly into the big, final confrontation among the last of the gang.

I did want to mention one thing, when Arthur left the reservation and started coughing, those weren't new people that took him in. Remember the German man that Arthur and Charles saved back at the end of Chapter 2 and they were moving to the new camp at Clemens Point? That was him and his family who took care of Arthur.

The main story is over, but we get to see how exactly did john became the man from the first game, and also some loose ends here and there. it also makes more sense since this is a game and not a movie, but I love this part of the game, is kinda sad, but relaxing in a way.

I do hope you watched Arthur's final ride and death scene with the music, it's beautiful and adds so much more to the scene. One of the few games I have played where I shed a few tears. I think there are four endings to Arthur, two in each decision you select with John, a high and low honor ending. The ending you got was the good ending and what I consider the canon ending.

2025-04-09 12:50:56 +0000 UTCIt's sad to say that Molly gave her life away especially when she was born into a rich family but decided to leave to search for adventure and then joining Dutch and the gang living in less than ideal situations, but Dutch being Dutch had eyes on other things and Mary Beth after a while which is why Molly said "she ain't her" pointing at Mary Beth before getting shot and her family is probably never going to know about what happened to their daughter. There's so many details that you may or may never find out within the game, the love and creativity for the creation of this game makes me love it all the more after all these years.
