TEAM FORTRESS 2 MEET THE TEAM! | WHAT IS TF2?

The first of the three shooters I've looked at recently. I didn't know what to expect when I hit the play button but oh boy, I quickly learnt! What great little trailers, some stronger than others but each in their own right is awesome.

You can tell I'm enjoying myself and yeah, a tad inspired because after each trailer, I do a baby breakdown on what that specific video/trailer was trying to do. Great stuff and I hope you enjoy the shooters I've got planed for this week and the one next week.

P.S> When I say shooters, I mean the franchises we're checking out. Other shooter drop is on Saturday. That one, I go really in on the Filmmaking, don't miss it!!

Something I loved about TF2 is how engaged was the community with the game. At that time it felt like you could do so much things with pretty much anything and that they constantly gave the people what they wanted, and even surprised them with more. Just knowing that you think these trailers for a satirical PVP from so many years ago made with an old software would serve actual filmmakers to teach them how to tell stories through a camera pretty much says how good it was and how ahead of its time it is

So you can go to town on it then. That's such an awesome piece of kit to have available to budding filmmakers and game designers. Awesome!

Love the team fortress 2 trailers. Also the beauty of them are the games developer valve released the software they used to make these, The source filmmaker. It's old but a brilliant bit of kit. The helsreach animation was made with this. SODAZ animations and there are some cool transformers animations been made. As the software has a workshop page on steam and has 1000's of characters, props and maps to download and use.

I'm sure others will suggest them too, but if you're interested in more TF2 content, there's also a great deal of excellent fan-made content that could be worth your time! Some of the most popular examples include "End of the Line" (by McVee), which is a short that was made an official promotion for an actual update using fan-made content. "Pootis Engage" and "Pootis Engage // Extreme" (Ceno0) is an absurdist, meme-filled comedy action video, but let me tell you, if you want to see a style of animation you've never seen before, this won't let you down. And of course, there's "Emesis Blue" (Fortress Films), which is a legitimate, feature-length horror film using the TF2 characters, and a love letter to other classic horror and thriller films. They may be fan works, but passionate fans can do amazing things!
