Yeah Kai the blurry bubble wrap look you were talking about it primarily due to the way that Unreal Engine forces Anti-Aliasing to be handed. It essentially artificially upscales all sorts of things like foliage and shadows however it leaves artefacts. The only game I've discovered that has been able to use a separate form of Anit-Aliasing in Unreal is The Finals from Embark. That's why their game looks so unbelievably clean
