Gosh, I've definitely outdone myself. ;v; The vision-execution ratio is about 90%, and that is just the best feeling ever. It happens so rarely tho. ;a; I guess I should also mention that this piece probably wouldn't happen at all (or at least would not be as pretty) without the awesome support I'm getting from you lovely people!

This piece has:

around 250,000 individual hairs and grass blades
three densely-tessellated and displaced objects (one of which is insanely tessellated)
a particularly computationally-demanding shader on the majority of the image (ocean)

Took 11 GB of RAM at rendertime, and rendered for 2 hours, 14 minutes, 28 seconds.

Old workstation would nope out as soon as it tried loading that into memory, because 8 GB of ram, only 4-5 of which was available for rendering. And it would take about 4 hours to render. And it wouldn't handle this kind of hair/grass at all, so that would look much worse too. Progress is soooo goooood.

Also going to post it in full size for $5+ Patrons now. ^.^
