Edelgard's Failed Surprise

Spoiler Note: This takes place after the events of the Crimson Flower route in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. I avoided as many spoilers as possible, but if you’re at all worried about that kinda thing, consider skipping this short for now.

Oh, also, this takes place sometime after my last Edelyth fic, ‘Edelguard’s Hidden Grove’. You don’t need to have read that one first, but I’d still recommend giving that one a read first if you haven’t already~.

The warm air in the manor was a very welcome feeling. Byleth had just returned from a trek to a neighboring kingdom to assist in eradicating yet another remnant sect of Those that Slither in the Dark. It seemed that no matter how many lingering clusters of cultists got wiped out, another sect was always hiding out there. The discoveries were becoming fewer and fewer with each passing month, but Byleth still longed for the day when she could put that name out of her mind for good…

Regardless, right now, Byleth was just glad to be back home. The moon was high in the sky and the chill outside was cutting, but the warmth inside El’s manor was comforting and made her want to just crawl into bed alongside her lover and drift away immediately, but… a painful groan inside her middle made her grimace. She needed some food inside of her before she could even consider retiring for the night. She wondered if any of El’s handmaids were still awake that could prepare something for her. She could still make something herself if need be, but the handmaid would definitely make something that tasted better.

The weary warrior left her sword and gear in the main hall, knowing full well that El would get mad at her if she were to try and keep dirty travel gear in her room again, and made her way towards the dining hall. The manor was dark and silent save for the moonlight shining through the high windows and the soft clicking of Byleth’s combat heels on the ornate tile. The manor seemed to be completely still with all of its residents sound asleep. That’s why Byleth was so surprised to see the glow of candlelight flickering from underneath the dining hall’s doors. Maybe she was in luck and a handmaid was up after all? With thoughts of finely made stew in her mind, Byleth let herself into the dining room to find…

El. Just El, seated alone at the dining table with a small feast laid out in front of her. The empress had frozen, a forkful of steak stopped in midair halfway to her open mouth, and was now staring in shock at Byleth. Byleth, in return, was just staring at El. This pregnant moment lasted for several seconds until finally…

“B-B-Byleth!” El squeaked in a manner that definitely didn’t suit her. She let her fork clatter onto her plate and hastily stood up, her chair screeching on the floor as she shoved it back. Then. just as quickly as she stood up, she sat back down and crossed her arms in front of herself. It was hard to see from across the room in the flickering light, but Byleth could swear that El was blushing. The ‘regal’ woman cleared her throat and spoke in an octave higher than usual, “I wasn’t expecting you back tonight. Was your mission fruitful?”

“Uh… Yes, it was.” Byleth walked into the room. She examined the table a little more closely. There was enough food on the table for at least four people, but there were no other places set except for El’s. There was also already a plate cleared and set aside, yet El seemed to be working away at another plate. “El, if you don’t mind me asking… what is all this about?”

“Oh, w-well… you see…” El bit her lip and steadfastly avoided Byleth’s inquisitive gaze. “After our afternoon in the park, I felt a little… guilty. I forced my strange preferences on you, after all.”

“Oh, El! You didn’t force anything on me,” Byleth assured her. She walked next to her partner and rested a hand on her shoulder. “I did that because I wanted to do it for you.”

The small touch seemed to comfort El a little, but she still looked embarrassed. “Even still… I thought it best that I should try to… reciprocate.”

“Reciprocate?” Byleth asked. She looked around at all the dishes again, then back down to El. Now that she was closer and without the table in the way, she noticed there was something a little different about her… “I don’t think I’ve mentioned anything about my preferences.”

El bit her lip. “Y-Yes, well, that’s true. Since I didn’t know what you would like that matched my own unusual tastes, I decided to at least show you what I enjoy about mine. To that end, though, I’ve been having some… issues.”

Ok Byleth, take stock of the situation. You took part in your lover’s kink and now she feels guilty. You might not have the same kink, but you love her and want her to feel better. Also, you’re not opposed to her kink, so… yeah, ok. Byleth could definitely work with this.

The greenish-blue-haired woman went around behind El and wrapped her arms around her shoulder. She leaned down next to El’s ear and teased, “From the way you’re hiding your middle, I don’t see what the issue is.”

The results were immediate. Byleth swore she could feel the heat radiating off of El’s face as the regal woman stumbled over her words, “M-My- No, i-it- What are- I’m not-” El seemed to lock up for a few moments. Then she buried her face in her hands. “...I wanted it to be a surprise… Why did you have to return so early…?”

“I’m sorry I’m too good at my job,” Byleth laughed while giving El a peck on the head. Then she asked, “Why with food though? Is there an issue with the cleansing pitchers?”

“N-No, it…” El murmured. She lowered her hands and held onto Byleth’s arms, which were still draped over her shoulders. “I… I can’t drink like you do. I feel sick after a single meager pitcher. Then if I continue…”

“That would do it,” Byleth sighed. “It can’t be easier with food, though.”

“It is,” El said quietly. She absentmindedly let a hand drift down to her stomach. “I still feel sick, but I can at least keep it down. I just can’t seem to get as large as you, though…”

Remembering just how huge her gut got, Byleth shivered. She still hadn’t worked through what being that big or El pampering her belly made her feel. “If it makes you sick, you shouldn’t do it. I’m just happy knowing that you want to make me happy.”

“I know… but…”

Byleth sighed again. She knew how stubborn El was and that she wasn’t going to let this go until she was satisfied. In that case… “Then how about this? Since all this food is here anyways, how about I make sure you keep eating until I feel like you’ve had enough? That way, we’ll both be happy.”

“That… works… but… you, making me eat…?” For some reason, El’s face seemed to get a little bit hotter.

“We don’t have to if that makes you-”

“N-No, it works!” El interjected. “J-Just give me a second!”

“Ok, ok,” Byleth said, pulling away from El and walking back around her to the table. She picked up the fork that El had dropped earlier and nibbled on the steak that was still skewered on it. She’d forgotten her hunger almost entirely after this unexpected meeting with El. After feeding El, she’d sit down and have one of the leftover dishes herself.

Byleth blushed a little. Feeding El. What was she, a caretaker? Not that she would mind being one. She could see herself taking care of El if she fell sick. Keeping a cool towel on her head, making and feeding her soft foods… changing her bedclothes… washing the sweat from her body… from aaaall over her body…

“O-Ok, I’m ready.”

El’s voice woke Byleth from her daydream. She shook her head and looked over to El. The beautiful woman was tightly holding her hands over her middle and was staring uncharacteristically bashfully at Byleth. The candlelight danced in her hair and made it glimmer, making her seem almost ethereal. Byleth gulped.

“Alright, then… this first.” Byleth took the steak she’d been nibbling on and moved it toward El’s mouth. She did it slowly and awkwardly, not really sure what she should be doing. El swallowed hard as the fork approached. Then she closed her eyes and opened her mouth wide. Seeing her normally commanding and serene lover like this… Byleth had no words. It was far more than she’d been hoping for when she’d gotten home earlier. She almost wanted this moment to never end.

Byleth gingerly put the steak into El’s mouth. She pulled the meat off of the fork, chewed carefully once Byleth had pulled the fork from her soft lips, and swallowed. Then she opened her mouth again, her blush deepening. Byleth quickly skewered some of the grilled veggies from the same plate and carefully put those into El’s mouth. Then she cut up the steak into manageable chunks and fed El a few of those.

Before she even knew it, Byleth had fed El the entire plate of food. She set the fork down on the plate and moved it aside. Then she looked back to El. “That’s two whole plates, right? Is that enough for you?”

El lifted one eyelid. “I thought you said you’d make me eat until you felt I’d had enough?”

Byleth blinked. “I.. I did say that, but-”

“Then do you think I’ve had enough?”

How the Hell should Byleth know? She was a relatively heavy eater, but she’d never seen El eat more than a single plate of food before. The only frame of reference she had was that and the ridiculous size that El wanted to reach, which was… way too big. Plus, El was shorter than Byleth, so a belly that size would be even bigger on her. That was just too much. So maybe somewhere in the middle was good…?

Byleth glanced down at Byleth’s middle again. She was covering her belly with her hands, but Byleth could still tell that it was a little larger than before. It was still tiny compared to El’s desired size, though. “Well… I suppose not…”

“Then could you f… feed me the pork loin next?”

El seemed to have regained some of her demeanor but still faltered when she was saying ‘feed’. It was very cute~. “Sure thing, my queen~,” Byleth moved a plate of tenderloin with more grilled veggies over to in front of El. Then she rested her body on the edge of the formal dining table while she cut up the tenderloin for easy feeding. “Then, if you would, here comes the first helping…”

While certainly eating more than usual, El wasn’t eating any faster, so Byleth had plenty of time to drink in the sight of her lover while making sure to fill her mouth with food every time she opened up. She was wearing a gorgeous lavender nightgown that complimented her pale skin and hair perfectly. Despite wearing her nightclothes, her silver hair was still nearly perfect from having it done for the day.

Byleth also got to notice all the little changes that were taking place as El ate. It wasn’t particularly noticeable during dish three, but once that plate had been cleared and Byleth moved on to feeding her generous portion of roasted game hen and scalloped potatoes, they began to become more pronounced. The most obvious was the size of her belly, which was pressing more and more into her hands and nightgown as the night wore on. There were also little things, though. Her breathing was getting heavier from the effort of eating so much. A bead of sweat had popped up and ran down her neck. Her hands, which had been idle before, now gently rubbed her belly through her silk gown. Byleth could even catch a faint gurgle from El’s distressed insides if she listened.

Yes, Byleth had plenty of time to take in every single detail about her partner while keeping her eating. That’s also why she spoke up the moment she noticed some hints of green mixing with the red on her cheeks. “Are you feeling sick? We should call it then. Here, I’ll help you to-”

As Byleth moved to help El up to take her to bed, El reached up and gripped Byleth’s arm. The strong woman stopped moving despite the gentleness of El’s grip. The bloated woman panted for a second before looking up at Byleth. “N-No, I can… I can keep going…”

Byleth grimaced. Sure, she was really loving feeding El for some strange reason, but she couldn’t just let El eat until she puked, could she? “You can, but I’m not sure if you should…”

“I-I want to…” El breathed. She let go of Byleth’s arm and put her hand over her mouth. A soft and muffled but strangely long burp reached Byleth’s ears. El’s face flushed scarlet, completely wiping out the traces of green that Byleth had seen. “Th-There. I just needed a little… release.” Her blush brightened even more. “C-Can we continue?”

She was still uncertain about all this, but… Byleth relented. She rested against the table again and slowly, carefully fed El the rest of the fourth dish. Then, at El’s insistence, she started to feed her a thick and hearty beef stew as well.

The faint rumbles from El’s stomach became easily audible gurgles as El pushed herself to eat more. Every so often, her face would look a little green again and El would take a short break to lean back and rub her stomach until another long burp came out. She would get progressively more flushed with each burp but would still open her mouth for Byleth to resume. Like this, El polished off the whole stew with Byleth gently bringing the bowl to her mouth at the end to sip at the rest of the stew.

By this time, El looked positively stuffed. Her stomach was round and seemed painfully tight underneath her gown, which was being held in place from her sitting down. The gown itself wasn’t tight, but it clung close enough to El’s distended belly to not hide a thing. Byleth could even tell that her upper belly was more pronounced than her lower and that El’s massaging fingers could barely push into her skin anymore.

“You don’t look like you have any more room left inside you…” Byleth spoke quietly, almost as if speaking too loudly could make El burst. “I think you’ve had enough now, right?”

*Uuurp*,” a soft but particularly wet-sounding burp was El’s initial response. The glutted woman had more than just one bead of sweat on her head and neck now and was panting for breath. Still, she shook her head. “I… I can eat… a… a little… *hic-URK*!”

A sharp heave made El shudder and lean back in her seat. That was that - El was done. “No, that’s enough. We need to get you lying down so you can rest. Can you stand?”

El tried to protest but still allowed Byleth to put her arm around her shoulder and gently lift her up out of her seat. Another risky shudder ran through El’s body at this, but she managed to keep everything down. Byleth started to slowly, gently lead El towards the door when she saw the accompanying doors to the kitchen were slightly open and a couple of wide-eyed handmaids were watching. Ah. That would be where all this food came from. Once they noticed Byleth staring. The handmaids quickly ducked back into the kitchen, but she could hear them giggling about something. Byleth sighed. She really hoped that wouldn’t become a problem down the line. El really didn’t need any strange rumors about her going around right now…

It took what felt like years, but Byleth eventually managed to escort El to her bedroom, which was lit up by a single candle on her bedside. She’d wanted to carry El, and she was certainly strong enough, but she wasn’t sure how to carry El in such a way to not put extra pressure on her poor belly. El carefully lowered herself onto her bedside, letting out another sickly belch as she did. She moaned softly and cradled her middle. “Oh lord above, I’m so f-full… it’s so tight and… it h-hurts…”

Byleth sighed. “See, I knew we should have stopped-”

“But…” El continued, oblivious to Byleth’s chastising. “I’m still not… as big as… you got…”

The taller woman stopped. She stared down at her poor lover for a few moments. Then she smiled softly. She was still trying to…

It looks like Byleth would be doing some caretaking today after all. She knelt down and grabbed the bottom of Byleth’s nightgown. “We need to get this off of you since you’re so sweaty now.”

The overstuffed queen squirmed a little in protest but let Byleth pull her nightgown up and off of her anyways. It got stuck around her belly for a moment, but with a quick shimmy and a wet burp, it slipped up and off. Then Byleth went and got a towel. She sat on the bed next to El and started to wipe her down.

El’s body was absolutely radiating heat, explaining why she was so sweaty. Her stomach was also a mess of rumbles, gurgles, glorps, and a million other unhappy sounds. Honestly, it was amazing that there was enough room left in there for all that food to shift around and make noise. Now that El’s nightgown was off, Byleth could see exactly how taut and strained El’s belly was. It was heavily round at the top, almost making half of an orb that harshly sloped down to her lower belly. The glistening ball of a belly looked red at its apex in the candlelight, but Byleth couldn’t tell if that was due to El’s pale skin being too warm or if there was another cause.

Byleth took special care to be gentle while she wiped El’s belly free of sweat. Her skin was pulled so tight that when Byleth pressed down with the towel when wiping, she swore she could hear a sound similar to when someone wiped down a window. She couldn’t get a clear listen, though, because every time she wiped, El would moan softly and her body would twitch. Now that she was resting, it seemed like El was feeling a lot less sick and a lot more… excited. The heavy flush running from her face down onto her neck backed this thought up as well.

Not that Byleth could blame her. To be honest, getting to rub El down like this had been exactly what she wanted. The belly was a little strange, but she didn’t dislike it. If anything, it was really cute how much she’d managed to push herself. But most of all, the noises El was making while Byleth tended to her…

“Oh!” Byleth breathed. El had grabbed one of Byleth’s hands and guided it to her chest. The normally serene queen smiled hungrily, then let herself fall backward. Her belly jutted out sharply above her, but Byleth was more focused on the inviting look in her lover’s eyes.

Byleth couldn’t even remember why she’d gone to the kitchen in the first place that night as she started to pull off her tunic. Maybe she’d remember after a little snack…

Here it is, the full fic! Since Edelgard and Edelgard alone won the poll, she alone receives the tummening!

I focused way more on the tum itself in this fic than the process of making the tum like I usually do. Lemme know how y'all feel about the difference~.

I'm not gonna be as strict with myself about uploading these at the end of the month now that I've switched from 'everyone gets charged on the 1st' to 'everyone gets charged from when they signed up'. So long as it's still the last day of the month for me (i.e. the 30th, 31st, 28th), then I'm happy with myself~. That said, good job me! It's not even 5:00 yet and you're done! Yay!

Then again, I forgot the Kyliemas fic, and I don't have the time/energy to finish that today as well, so... uh... I mean, the exclusive is more important, right? Right?

I'll get the Kyliemas fic up either tomorrow or the day after...

Uh, besides that... see y'all on the 5th (where I am) for the March poll!
