On an unrelated note, you know how in some countries (a.k.a. most countries) some people produce ridiculous and useless shit, and other people buy said ridiculous and useless shit for some stupid reason, and it really is just resource wasting on both ends? Alkina here knows. She knows very well, and she is giving YOU a massive stink eye for it. You, as in the entire world producing ridiculous and useless shit; not you, as in the person reading this. You're fine.
Unless you're wearing a pair of horribly made, cheap, wasteful, fake reindeer antlers at this very moment (negative points if your nose is painted red, and even more negative points if you are WEARING a fake, red, plastic nose). Then this stink eye goes out to you as well. You've earned it. Because you could've bought food instead. You could've bought a donut. Some cookies maybe. Several apples even! Or you could've just thrown the money at a good cause. But you bought useless tat instead, and you'll just throw that tat out as soon as January comes, and then buy more useless tat next year. I bet you spend a fortune on cheaply-made-but-expensive-to-buy plastic hearts on valentine's day too. You wasteful boob. Pick a dark corner and think about your entire life.

You're talking about the fake plastic nut sacks people put on their cars or another example, the eyelashes they put on the headlights--pure cosmetic materials for peoples enjoyment. Things like that are money grabs. As long as you're the one noticing these things you'll never have to buy it. It is just consumerism, and the economy won't function without pools of buyers purchasing material goods. Honestly, you shouldn't care what people spend their money on, they'll learn when they ask themselves, "whoa, where's my money go?" You may or may not have a positive outlook on the holiday season in December/January because of these "temporarily used items". But think about it, Christmas is the most profitable holliday for companies. A lot of human culture is a waste of resources, but money is extremely influential and it's quite a challenge to fight it.
