So here's another one of those big, fancy, artsy, surreal artworks that take the most time and effort to make, but get the least views! :D This one, as it often is, is a birthday gift for my dear friend, Zyonji. Go check them out (and wish them a happy birthday while you're at it), they're an excellent artist who deosn't get nearly the amount of attention they deserve.

So while it will never become a wildly popular piece, I'm thankful for the amount of appreciation it got. And trust me, if making surreal pieces like these wasn't so taxing (also requiring a good idea), I'd be making a whole lot more of them. I do have a few half-baked ideas tho. Just gotta figure them out. Or maybe I should just jump in and see what happens. And yes, merging eroticism and surrealism is pretty great, but I kinda do porn for fun, while these surreal pieces are true challenges, so I would prefer not wasting the rare ideas and effort on something I can do in just a couple of days otherwise lol. Not saying I'll never do anything like that again, just, you know. Very sparingly. Also thank you!

2018-11-28 12:24:48 +0000 UTCOh this looks like a disaster scene where we can't see the fire that's burning down the important thing, but we can see the glow and the smoke in the distance. I quite enjoy the simplicity of the pose. The theme's impact is full of emotion evoking a response in Hjalta's face and with the viewer. Its hard to pick one complex thing to focus on but I want to put value in the smokey/misty backdrop. Its essential in the atmosphere to establish the scene with its intense darkness. Its also appreciative that you continue to work on your realism each time with these exterior environment shots. Sometimes you censor Hjalta sometimes you don't. Idk your interpretation so that could change the story. Depending on what you're doing making either/or would just be a waste of time. But I can't help but think how much different scenes with Hjalta would be if there were that slight difference. Like early days of dA when you'd create out-of-frame censoring. (Just a thought that was put in my head when viewing the piece). I have no issue with it either way, and before you had to censor cause of the rules.

2018-11-24 03:44:58 +0000 UTCVery happy with this one (it has a moo so auto happy ^_^) Really love the facial expresion, Hjalta looks almost on the verge of tears (not that im happy she is upset, just happy you could capture that emotion.) I for one really love these artsy pics, it gives you some room to flex those artistic muscles and try new things. That ant they look amazing.

I know sex sells, especially when it plays to particular niches, but I always hoped that when artists went beyond that, they should be rewarded for the effort.
