Except for the handful of people who knew I was making a bear.
Here are some more words about her:
Again, her name is Amber, and she is a kermode bear, a.k.a. spirit bear, which is a super rare subspecies of black bear, that's only found in British Columbia. I've been working on her on and off for a couple of years, and it mainly took so long because I was constantly discouraged by how I couldn't get her face right. It went through four major revisions, and every previous one that looked cute, turned out to look terrible after a small break. ._. Then I went into turbo mode on the rest of her after Lilotte posted this. Aaaand I kinda got inspired to also make her a mudbear. It's not a thing. Except now it is. She likes getting muddy. Also note: these two bears are officially sisters or maybe friends, and so I will have to make the other one too eventually.
As always with intros, posting it in full size for literally everyone.
