Can you guys come liberate us or just carpet bomb us with Oreshnik and put us out of our misery? 😢 On a brighter note, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with concerns about the US driving a wedge between you and China. This will be completely disastrous. Being friends with China probably isn't the best thing since they're kinda stealing Russia, but it's an alliance of convenience. You also can't snake your Allies. That's like -2 Diplomatic Reputation for 20 years or something.

Let's say we do have robot farms, robot freight, robot everything - who will literally TAKE CARE of you and me when we're no longer mobile like before and we're lonely? For Russia, no more building permits in the over populated cities, as people do not have enough children in that environment. Tax families the same as individuals.. and tax induvidual air travel (non married, no children). So what is happening in Chechnya? As to the Trump's Ukraine rare metals; that is about U.S. Companies invested in Ukrainian land and industry to be able to sell out. The USA is going Monroe Doctrine, enough trouble at the land borders and beyond. Canada got too woke and Mexico is a 'Cartel' state.

Centers around this “Immigration” boogeyman. It’s become a poison growing in the veins of the body politic and—especially recently—it’s infecting the minds of many of the most cultured, libertarian-minded patriotic types. The purpose is nefarious. Immigration isn’t poison by default, e.g. because of immutable fact ls — like, to take a random example — Wahabiism is a naturally foul and pestilential cultism. These negative characteristics are top-down nurtured because they’re opportunities to alienate en masse, to condition populations a certain way, to let in a little more poison and encourage it to corrode popular thinking about human communities and individual humans in society in ways that fit current mass atomization priorities, e.g. divide the world into good ingroups and a spectrum of good-to-evil outgroups, training prejudices in ways that always mean less; reducing human cross-pollinations to dumb rituals, branded costumery and ‘authentic ethnic’ menus which get conflated with real culture — obscuring the only sublime creative product of civilized society worth engaging or protecting; apart from our kids, obviously..! Population control is always managed through social phenomena ginned up and weaponized by the oligarchies. I’m sure it was discovered long ago the most effective mass psychoses were spread by subverting the most pro-active in general population and using them against their own best interests, to drive the systemic tyrannies of the predatory elites. I just wish y’all would fight back!

I think trump is trying to orient the US back towards more of a Monroe doctrine foreign policy and as free trade as possible. His last position was reciprocal tariffs. Very recently Rubio was speaking about the long term for the US is not very good unless we bring our own manufacturing back so we can stabilize our supply chain as much as possible. Think about it. We were very dependant upon China for a lot of the materials we managed to send to Ukraine. I don't see the war with China as long as this situation persists. It would be suicidal. Although we know, there is a faction in our politics that is nihilistic and suicidal. Trump has to focus on domestic enemies now and for the foreseeable future. If the neocons/ neolibs claw power back in the near future, I'm afraid things might get very ugly. Elon and the doge young phenoms are helping immensely. Defunding USAID defunds the warhawk's regime change machine and undercuts the NED which has 6 or 7 former CIA directors on its board. Stripping security clearances of the domestic enemies was also a huge big balls move that's paid dividends so far. One of his first dictates that sort of went unnoticed was that no one had access to speak to the media unless specifically directed by the Whitehouse and IMO that's been huge as far as putting out coherent messaging. This go around, he's picked all loyalists, and up to now they've all gotten confirmed. Now, we just have to hope they have the testicular fortitude to give the deep state the ultimate knockout blow. And that has to involve criminal charges for people who have absolutely broken all kinds of laws. They need to be frog marched on national TV. You guys mentioned how trump seemed to have bad info on the reality on the ground in the war and it's absolutely possible that is the case. But, now he's getting his daily intelligence briefing from Tulsi so I think he'll have a good grasp of things moving forward. At the very least, he won't be intentionally misled. I was very happy to see both sides really ecstatic about how well the first meeting went and I hope it continues. There's no reason we shouldn't have been natural allies. That ship may have sailed at this point but I hope we can at least be neutral and somewhat positive. By the way, glad to see you guys back on the podcatcher! I was just thinking over the past weekend that it had been quite awhile since we'd heard from you.

Yes the total number of births has dropped to late 1990s levels, but what really matters long-term is TFR (children per woman). Russia's TFR low was 1.16 in 1999, and google's AI says that Russia's TFR in 2024 was 1.45. I think the SMO may be depressing fertility somewhat: According to wikipedia Russia's TFR was 1,5 from 2019-2021, then dropped to 1.42 in 2022 and 1.41 in 2023.
