Heads up about a change for EU patrons
Added 2019-09-05 21:39:37 +0000 UTCHi guys!
I've recently received an e-mail letting me know about a significant change that'll be introduced this month.
According to a new EU law, Patreon will be required to add an extra security step for EU patrons. This is meant to reduce fraud from card holders, and, as a result, new pledges or new added credit cards from EU patrons may result in a pop-up from their banks requesting an username or password, a code sent to email or text, or any other authentification method.
If you've got any sort of issues with your tiers from now on, you better contact with your banks, since Patreon does not control the form.
Of course this should be only applied to EU users, so those of you from non-European countries shouldn't be affected. Still, I thought it'd be wiser to let you all know.
Nothing else to say, I hope you have a good day!
