From “Aziza Bastet: Sweatered and Unsweatered by the Studio Window”

We’re indebted to one of our model-friends and a mutual-photographer-acquaintance for connecting us with a new (to us) traveling model: Aziza Bastet. Nearly six feet tall, and proportionally 9.5 heads, and (despite traveling almost everywhere throughout the country) definitely skews toward the perfect “California-Girl Tan” complexion. But it’s never just the looks you need from even the most beautiful models. Doing the math from Aziza’s Model Mayhem profile, she’s been at this a while, and the skills, angles, expressions, gestures, and poses are all there for a great shoot, as is the personality and professionalism (including the far-too-rare trait of punctuality!) For this first two-hour, low-stress, get-acquainted shoot, we took advantage of Aziza’s extensive traveling wardrobe (as you’ll see in future sets). Here, though, it’s K.I.S.S. in action: a simple gray sweater (then not), with her situated between the potted plants, next to sheer-covered windows, backlit by a red studio lamp shining in the mirror behind her.
