OPTT: Chapter 105: Decision
Added 2025-06-10 09:45:34 +0000 UTCOn the battlefield where the sea wind howled, all the spectators were plunged into unprecedented shock.
Shanks stood at the bow of the Red Force, his right hand unconsciously tightening around the hilt of Griffon, his gaze fixed on the figure in the center of the battlefield who was handling everything with ease.
"Hey hey⦠isnāt this a bit too exaggerated?" Lucky Roux forgot to eat the chicken leg in his hand, his greasy mouth wide open.
Benn Beckman rarely took the cigarette out of his mouth. His voice was low. "Captain, this Ron⦠heās beyond common sense."
Shanksās red hair fluttered in the wind as he slowly nodded. "Yeah⦠it seems the new era is arriving earlier than expected." A complex light flashed in his eyes. "He could match a Yonko without a Devil Fruit, and now he's gained this kind of abilityā¦"
On the Marineford sideā
"This ability⦠Iāve never seen anything like it," Sengoku said hoarsely, his voice unlike his usual commanding tone. "Could it be something he acquired after leaving the Marines?"
Tsuru's glasses reflected a cold gleam as she quickly flipped through her phone. "Ron never consumed a Devil Fruit. This kind of ability⦠itās completely unprecedented."
Garp was unusually silent. His bag of senbei snacks remained suspended in mid-air as his gaze flicked between Ron and Ace on the execution platform. His fists clenched tightly, joints cracking. What was Ron trying to do?
On the Moby Dick, Marco looked stunned. "Pops, this situationā¦"
āGurarararaā¦ā Whitebeard let out a hearty laugh with a trace of delight. "I donāt know if thatās his trump card, but it looks like Ron hasnāt been slacking all these years!" He slammed Murakumogiri onto the deck. "Kaido's finally hit an iron wall!"
Jozu said, "He could fight Kaido to a draw without a Devil Fruit, and now with this kind of powerā¦"
Vista wiped his twin swords and gave a wry smile. "How are we even supposed to fight now?"
At that moment, in the center of the battlefield, Kaido had completely lost it.
He furiously unleashed attack after attackāHeat Breath, Bad Breath, even summoned lightning from the sky. But every one of his devastating techniques was effortlessly absorbed by Ron, doing zero damage.
The fight had already become one-sided. Each time Kaido attacked, it was as if he was just "feeding" energy into Ron.
Those strange purple markings on Ronās body were like a bottomless pit, greedily devouring all Devil Fruit energy that came his way.
āGive it up, Kaido.ā
Flames of fury burned in Kaidoās dragon eyes. He couldnāt accept that his most powerful abilities were useless against this man.
āImpossible! I am Kaido of the Beasts!ā He let out a thunderous roar as his massive body twisted violently in the air. "Heat Breath! Bad Breath! Great Fire Dragon Torch!"
A torrent of world-shattering attacks poured outāscorching flames, slicing wind blades, columns of fireāall slamming toward Ron in succession.
But every single one was absorbed by the purple markings, only making the Devil Fruit energy inside Ron even more overwhelming.
"Thanks for the meal." Ron smirked, feeling the energy within him reaching a critical point.
The purple patterns around him suddenly surged. Fine dragon scales appeared on his skin. Ferocious horns grew from his forehead, and under everyone's stunned gazeāhis body began to grow!
"Hybrid Form ā Purple Dragon!"
Before everyone's shocked eyes, Ron completed a partial dragon transformation. Although his size wasnāt as massive as Kaidoās, every inch of his form radiated explosive power. His purplish-black dragon scales gleamed with metallic brilliance in the sunlight.
Whooshā
Ronās figure disappeared from sight. He moved so fast even Kizaru raised his eyebrows.
In the next momentā
He reappeared above Kaidoās head. His dragon claw fist, wrapped in purple Armament Haki, slammed down fiercely.
Kaido hurriedly opened his mouth to bite back, but Ron was faster.
Bang!!!
A deafening explosion echoed through Marineford. Kaidoās massive dragon body was sent crashing down like a meteor.
The fortressās sturdy defensive wall collapsed under the impact, dust flying in every direction.
Nearby Marines scattered in panic. A few veterans dashed past while shouting:
āVice Admiral Ron is still that fierce!ā
āHeās even stronger than before!ā
āHoly crap, he just sent Yonko Kaido flying!ā
āWhereās my phone? I need to post this online. Itāll go viral!ā
āGo viral your ass. Our phones got confiscated.ā
āHehe, I still have mine.ā
Moments later, tremors rumbled from the rubble.
Kaido, bloodied and battered, pushed away the collapsed debris and stood up. His dragon scales were shattered. A vicious wound ran across his forehead.
He stared at the purple figure in the sky. For the first time, fear flickered in his eyes.
Ron slowly descended onto the head of Little Wang floating on the sea, his body returning to its normal form.
āWhat, still want to fight?ā His tone was calm, but it carried an unmistakable pressure. āI can go all the way if you want.ā
Kaidoās dragon face twisted.
He glanced around. Whitebeardās massive naginata was already itching for action. Red-Hairās Griffon gleamed with anticipation. And the Admirals were watching like predators waiting to pounce.
If he kept dragging this out, heād gain nothing and lose everything.
Kaido let out a malicious grin and turned toward Sengoku, a calculating glint flashing in his eyes. āSengoku, howās our deal going? I can help you Marines take down that old geezer Whitebeard first!ā
The moment he said that, Akainuās pupils contracted. His magma-covered fist clenched instinctively.
The proposal was tempting. If they could eliminate the Whitebeard Pirates hereā¦
But he quickly suppressed the thought and looked at Sengoku.
A suffocating silence fell over the entire Marine camp.
Every Vice Admiral and Rear Admiral turned to look at Sengoku, awaiting the Fleet Admiralās decision. Tsuru gently tapped her finger against the tactical board, while Garp, for once, put away his senbei. His face was solemn.
Just as Sengoku frowned, deep in thoughtā
āSengoku.ā Ronās voice rang out suddenly. He stood atop the Sea Kings and pointed skyward. āYouād better think this through.ā
Everyone looked in the direction he pointed.
At some point, dozens of News Coo had flown in, broadcasting this world-shaking battle to every corner of the world.
Sengokuās face went pale. His trembling hands reached for the phone in his coat.
On the screen.
The trending topic #Summit War Live Broadcast# was pinned at the top of the global feed. The number of live viewers had already exceeded 100,000+āand that was just the number being shown.
