Back From Holidays

Merry Christmas everyone!

I'm back from my holidays and I"m feeling good and rested, I hope you all had an awesome Christmas 2022.

I have a lots of ideas/work to show off and talk about for PGH, and I will do so throughout the week and next week. I hope you find something interesting out of the new posts!

First off, since I had a few questions about this, I want to clarify that EVERYTHING I post on this discord is now Persona H Golden realted entirely. Previously I was posrting any work I was doing, including side projects. 

Now that I have parteners that work on their own games, with their own patreons, I  need to make sure what I post here is purely PGH related.

So unless I otherwise say so, everything I post is purely about Persona H Golden.

I have more photos, stroy updates and roadmaps to talk about in the coming days, and I can't wait to share with you my new ideas for this game. It's really exciting for me to develop a Persona Adult game that I always wanted to!

To give you a brief teaser of what I have in mind to create : 

Story Summary :

PHG's storyline is entirely new. It is about Yu returning to inaba after some time. He was called there by a mysterious letter. Upon returning, Yu is welcomed by Nanako and Dojima once again, and is going to be staying with them.

Inaba is under attack by a shadow figure, a Jack the Ripper type who seems to be seeking out women and attacking them over night. Dojima is on the case and trying to solve it, but he needs you help. It seems this attacker has Persona Abilities and Dojima can't solve this one without you.

With the help of Nanako, you and will seek out the truth and uncover who is doing these attacks. You will be greeted by all the familiar faces you know from before, as your friends and family return to help you solve this case. Everyone is older now, and more adult, which results in blossoming romances.

Can you discover who is behind these attacks, Can you RESIST the shadow versions of your friends? Can you survive the annoying dialog fro Teddie?

Release Timeline and Thoughts :

While I don't have an exact date in mind, I do have some thoughts as to when and how I would like to release the game. First off, I would like to create an introduction/demo of sorts for this game.  This idea has come to me through Sakaki's game and I think it works well for newcomers to join in on the experience.

I"m hoping to get some sort of introduction/demo out in early 2023. I need to nail down more storyline/character work, but I have a good feeling about this time.

As for release type, I'm going to be changing up the style of how the game comes out. It will now be by Episode instead of random releases. I believe this helps a lot more with story beats and communication to the players where they are in the storyline.

Introduction : Return to Inaba (Early 2023)

Episode 1 : ???

Episode 2 : ???

Episode 3 : ???

Episode 4 : ???

And so on. I"m going to be doing what I previously had done where there is Patron-only polls that help dictate the storyline and what is happening.

Gameplay Variations :

As far as the gameplay goes, I belevie that Persona H was a bit of a mess. I couldn't make up my mind on a consistant gameplay style. I have a much stronger presentation idea for how I would like to do Persona H Golden's gameplay though.

Now with my new enging eI'm creating, custome dialog options, characer choices and interactions, skills and atttributes and much much more are all a lot easier for me to do.

This means the gameplay will be much more dialog focuses with random mini-games sprinkled in.

I"m going to be removing some control from the palyer as far as stroyline goes, and I think this will have a huge impact on story. With Persona H, I had a lot of story beats, but it was up to you to find where to go and what to do in order to trigger them.

I still want the palyer to free-roam and go as they please, but when it comes to pivitol storyline, I want to the player to be shown the right palces and things so they can understand what is happening better.
