Hey everyone, I wante to show off some of the new Hinomori Nights work I have ben working on.
The game is still in the pre-planning stages, and has lots of concepts being worked on. I have made the choice to change some of thee gameplay. I am backtracking on the storline in terms of the main character going to highschool.
The game's storyline will now feature a man who is travelling to Japan and living in a small town, the characters will mostly be the same personality with small tweaks and changes.
I want to incorporate a lot of the same gameplay as before, but remove the highschool and timeline elements from the game. One issue that happens during development is that I have to halt all production until I script out each day's events, which boggs down my programming.
Changing the gameplay in this way allows the player to interact with npcs and events in the game on their own time and when they choose to (like The Midnight Channel) and it helps me program different sections without getting in the way of someone's progressions.
The highschool part of the game, by it's own nature, forces me to stay within ceretain rules that I dislike.
While I may change my mind later and incorportate some sort of school-like events, at the moment I'm changing up this story/gameplay element to my game. I will be showing off more artwork for Hinomori Nights in the following month or so to give you all a better idea of how it will look going forward.
