Patreon Changes - September 2021

Goals

As many of you know I'm getting my second bachelors in medical lab science, this year is looking to be my final in the classroom and this semester in particular is heavier than usual with lectures and labs. That being said, while I intend to keep my production as high as it can be it will behoove me to prioritize flexibility in my schedule for studying and assignments.

Streams

I've mentioned for the past month that the weekly Heart-Conqueror Commission Streams will be suspended for this semester. The strict weekly schedule and duration of those streams would be too hard for me to work with this semester while trying to keep up with everything else. However, I do acknowledge that the streams are a chance for everyone to gather and socialize so I intend on doing more chill streams, both solo mic and group calls, to compensate. Possibly +1 per week depending on my workload.

Content

As mentioned above, the goal here is to prioritize flexibility in my schedule, so I'm altering the Patreon format to have looser "due dates" with most things. I still intend to do as many things as I can in a month but I'd rather not stress about some works lagging a bit into the next month. Some things will still have hard time cycles but not as many. I’ll be producing the following content:

Full Comics: Such as the space one I'm working on, “Top of the Breeder Board”
Mini Comics: Such as Greener Pastures and Everyday Roomance
Sketch Comics: like the recent DnD themed comic, though ~3 pages
Lewdles: VERY small quick doodles as originally intended
Side Projects: Dakimakuras, merch, server emotes, animations
PSD files: Layered files of all my works, once per month
Patron emotes/stickers: 2 patrons per month in order of top patronage
Tyroo Teaches: bimonthly, short focused drawing lesson videos with VTubeRoo

For the content not marked by regular scheduling, I’ll be cycling through each one at a time with some of the smaller ones probably squeezed in between. I’ve found that when given greater freedom to work on projects I’m most passionate about at the time, it helps prevent burnout and produces higher quality.

Patron Tier Consolidation

Over time I’ve taken note that the Heart-Destroyer tier has significantly fewer supporters in it as compared to the other tiers, asked around and held a poll to gauge Patron interest and support was very favorable to combining the Heart-Destroyer ($10) and Heart-Slayer ($5) into a unified $7 tier. I feel this would both give a more fair price per rewards for Heart-Destroyers while giving Heart-Slayers significantly more benefits for a very small price increase.

Over the next month I plan on slowly creating this new $7 tier while requesting those in the $5&10 tiers to migrate to the new one. After a couple months the old tiers will go from unlisted to deleted completely so make sure to keep an eye out so you don’t lose your benefits (if this is applicable to you).
