You mentioned that you had previously seen Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, but you didn't mention what you knew about the Star Wars story as a whole, what characters you remember from Episode 1, and how that affected your understanding of the story. Were you so young that you don't exactly remember what happened in Episode 1? Several characters from Episode 4 were in it, and there was a character in it that was mentioned in Episode 4. You say you know a lot from social media, etc. What exactly do you know about Episodes 5 and 6? That would help as we go along, as I hope you continue!

2021-08-22 02:57:38 +0000 UTCThe skeleton on Tatooine is of a Krayt Dragon. The beasts that the Sand Troopers were riding -- dewbacks -- were added 20+ years later as CGI. There were a few shots of physical dewbacks that barely moved when the movie was originally filmed. The version of Star Wars (aka Episode IV: A New Hope) that you watched isn't the version that was shown in theaters in 1977. George Lucas continued to add and change special effects, change story points, add scenes and tinker with the audio for decades until he sold the franchise to Disney almost 10 years ago.
