Aragorn (the guy who sometimes tries to pretend to be Viggo Mortensen) almost died shooting this. Of course, he had numerous very (too?) close such encounters, alas, only one in the first movie. When he saves Boromir from the fourth arrow and fights that chief Uruk Hai, the knife he deflects (with an unhuman skill I might add), that was actually real. Also, it wasn't a plastic prop, it was a damn sharp actual knife :D That was beyond the skills of any Jedi, haha. Also, the guy who was training numerous actors about swordplay (from Star Wars, to LOTR; and many more such movies), said that this guy was not only the best one he ever trained but far better than himself. So yeah, Aragorn is one hell of a guy. He was trying to pretend to be Viggo for a time, i think he stopped now lol.
