This one was a rough one. As a certified nursing assistant this hit so close to home in many different ways. I thought about people I knew, people I've worked with, people I've worked for. This is so passionate for me, and became incredibly personal.

This film was something a little different for Robert De Niro, as his character wasn't the only one who experienced "Awakenings". Robin Williams is the main character in "Bicentennial Man" (1999) - a servant in a futuristic household that yearns to be something more. I have seen very little of Penelope Ann Miller's work but she and Matthew Broderick were excellent in the comedy, "The Freshman" (1990), also starring Marlon Brando.
