If I left you a glittery pink Christmas present like this, would you open it or would you pass it on to someone else?
I know I'm a bit early for Christmas, but I wanted to make sure this was Early Access and I couldn't wait to tell you about the improvements I've been making recently! I will probably try to publish this publicly on the actual day, but I couldn't wait any longer ...plus I've already unremorsefully opened a few of the gifts I've gotten...
For this piece, I started using this linework brush that's slanted on a bias, and started trying out a different rendering style than what I have been doing for the past little while. My work was feeling so stale, mediocre, uninspiring etc, and slipping farther and farther from what I'd consider good, so I needed to work harder and study more aggressively. For this image, the focus was mainly to get a smoother skin shade, and try some bolder outlines! Next on the chopping block will probably be hair and clothing shading, and overall male anatomy, but for now, check out this smoooooth skin:
