Another year has disappeared and we're all looking forward to the next one hoping that it brings better prospects, opportunities, and fortune. Let's all have some champagne and become the people we want to be, and then party until we can't walk straight!
This piece spent 2 days in my Recycle Bin and almost didn't make it. This time of year really makes me feel bad about my lack of formal training as an artist and how I haven't achieved as much as I hoped till now. Working throughout the holidays without a break because no vacation days was also quite grim and they keep piling new and difficult work on me with no additional compensation or reduction of previous duties.
I feel like my abhorrent work stress affected the piece a little and that makes me very angry. I'm glad I decided to go through with finishing the piece in the end, but I have a lot to improve on 'next year'.
