“Oh we’ll get him there, Missy,” Josie said, having propped her phone up on the bedside table and stood up from the bed - in which Lakshmi and I still lounged - to talk, “he still wants to sign the papers. He just really needs a shower.” I’d heard: Melissa had asked to see Josie’s new green nightie, and the younger girl had been more than happy to comply, to show off how her new lingerie embellished her figure. “He wants to go back to his place first. But, at the park, by eleven-thirty? Totally do-able.”
“Tell him I’ll pack a picnic,” I heard Melissa say.
