We need your insight for the next update !

Dear Patrons,

If you're wondering when the next release will come, we're working hard on it and it should be ready within the next five or six days !

We were in the process of expanding our library of little bits of animations such as hits, trails, bursts, smoke, fire ... etc to make each asset look unique and awesome !

And we are always in search of inspiration from games and anime of course.

However, we are new to the whole module development thing and it still is a difficult process, and so easy to mess up !

The Forge premium pack release was stressful because we didn't want to bother Kakaroto, the developer of the Forge, more than necessary.

KaKaRoTo has been more than patient with our very inexperienced level of module development 'skills' and we're grateful.

In light of this new found knowledge, we have yet another difficult choice to make !

We're being a bit stumped right now because we want to find a module/install system that is easier for everyone.

As it stands right now, we have to make three different releases at once. One for the free pack, one for the Patreon and another one for the Forge users.

We are embarrassed to realize only now that we should have made a 'premium' module for both Patreon and Forge users as one pack, seperate from the free pack. It is part of the learning process I suppose but if we do this, the paths will once again be broken !

We would like to keep the free pack as it is and make one seperate module called "jb2a_patreon" that will accomodate all of you. You would only have to drag the jb2a_patreon folder downloaded from itch.io containing ALL assets into your modules folder, restart Foundry, activate it and you're done.

No need to install the free pack anymore, no merge that could result in potential errors. And the method for Forge users stays the same, only the name would change.

So we're asking for your help and insight.

Which solution works best for you ?

1. Don't change a thing, I don't want to fix the links

2. Change it now, be done with it. I don't mind changing the links as long as it stays the same for the foreseeable future

3. A potentially confusing but more flexible : 'keep the old way and make the new way available' so you can transition slowly over the course of a few releases

4. I don't mind, it doesn't really apply to me

Thank you for being so patient and understanding, your support makes it all possible and worthwhile and we are so very grateful for it !

Jules&Ben

P.S. : Feel free to share your insights or ask any questions regarding this in our Discord Channel #feedback or here on Patreon

Don't feel bad about it, we understand it's best to get this all sorted out right now than down the road. Besides, it's not that much work for us users.

I agree, but we've just changed our naming convention last release so we feel bad about it !

Now is the time to change while it is new. Be much harder down the road when you have even more animations.
