It's time for another step-by-step of a bigger piece! It's older than a year now.
It's Deku and Ochako from My Hero Academia - but in Edo time! For the background I took inspiration from older japanese drawings (colors, strokes, objects). You don't see so much in the end but eh, anyways. π I also wanted Ochako to look cute and cool. I tied her front hair back, so she reminds more of a samurai.
The final picture had much some nice retouches of my friend Glasmond again. She gave it a sepia look, added more shades and also had this nice idea with these white scratches and drops all over the picture. It really makes the picture looks more antique!
Interesting fact: Female samurai existed! (called "Onna-Musha") I didn't know that haha.. π Some fought alongside men and/or defended their home, family and honor.
