here's a note for new patrons who joined the end of the month.
How does billing work after my first charge?
After your initial immediate charge, all following charges will take place on the 1st of each month for that month's access. If you become a patron to a creator towards the end of the month, this might come across as a double charge; but the initial charge acts as payment for the month in which you became a patron and the next payment is for the month following.
Example: Say you join a charge up front creator's $10 Tier on June 25th. Once you confirm, you're charged $10 immediately and unlock the creator's back catalog of content, and have access to the remainder of June. You are then charged on July 1st for the entire month of July. This means that even if you cancel your membership, you'll still have access to the creator's patron-only content for the rest of the month, and will be marked as an "Active patron" on the creator's end.

What if I delete my membership?
If you delete your membership to a charge up front creator you'll have access to their patron only content for the remainder of that month; however, they will no longer be listed on your active memberships page. You can visit the creator’s page directly to view their content. Once the month has ended, you'll no longer have access to the creator's patron-only content.
How can I cancel?
You can delete your membership at any time while logged into your Patreon account. From the drop-down menu on the top right, click "My memberships" and you'll be taken to a page that shows all of your active memberships. Click "Edit" next to the membership you wish to delete and click the "Edit or Cancel Payment" button on the bottom right of the page. After you press "Cancel your Payment" you'll be asked to confirm.
