As one of the developers of ViRo Playspace, I wanted to take a moment to explain why we've been quiet from posting development updates.
Being a small indie studio has many challenges and one of them is trying to find the right path to keep the studio functional.
As you may recall, we released ViRo Live Studio a while back. This was an app that took everything we learned about motion capture and live streaming (from Vex Ruby) and made it available on Steam for anyone to use.
The initial goal was to build a tool so people could create their own experiences like you see on ViRo Playspace. Some of this motion tech made it into our private spaces (private rooms in ViRo Playspace), but ultimately we didn’t have a path to give us the financial runway to stay alive.
We then got a tip that Meta's Oculus division was looking for content creators to pitch ideas. Meta would provide some small funding in hopes that a studio would create a runaway hit. We made a pitch for a VTuber app for Meta Quest - just like ViRo Live Studio, but exclusively on Meta Quest and without the need for a PC.
This took months to create a prototype for Meta, but we ultimately got turned down. They told us it was too complicated to use.

Hurt from our lost time in development, we were again tipped off to reach out to Oculus, but this time to a different department. They were looking for content that showcased mixed reality features.

We knew it would be a hard sell to re-pitch the same project, so we reached out to our friends at another VR studio.
Together, we refined the pitch to Oculus - this time under our friends’ studio name to help with credibility since we are not in a position to showcase our previous work due to the adult nature of the content. The pitch was approved.
From early spring to mere days ago, we crunched to make the best VTubing app we could. It had to be easy enough for anyone to use without losing any advanced features. The funding was barely enough to ensure we didn’t close down during development. While it didn’t help with runway, id did gave us a chance to build new tools for our plans moving forward with ViRo.
I'm happy to report that we released that title.

VStreamer Live launched earlier this month on the Meta Quest App Lab
While the world of ViRo has been quiet on the surface, it is still very much alive. The entire team here is very passionate about bringing true openness to sexuality in a safe way that enables people to discover, explore, and connect.
We're taking everything we developed and adding it to our bag of tools. We've also significantly upgraded or motion capture capabilities during this time. This will help us produce better content moving forward.

We've also started production on the next ViRo Playspace Dream release
We’re happy to report that Novellus Dea really enjoyed her previous experience with us and has signed on for another go.
It's called Unsealed Love

Production is going to be a little different with this one. With previous Dreams, we played our cards a little closer to our chest during development, because we love to deliver big surprises.
I won’t be doing that this time.
Instead, expect live developer streams, sneak peeks, videos, and other tidbits. I'll be posting updates on patreon and streaming on our discord. I’m a night owl, and often am working while Vex and the team are asleep, so having you folks around keeps me going.
Our first event is scheduled to be on Wednesday, November 22nd in the evening. We'll be live streaming our motion capture session for the upcoming dream. I'll post more details in a separate patreon post when available.
I want to offer heartfelt thanks on behalf of all of us here at ViRo for all your support and encouragement.

I want to take a moment to also thank Vex Ruby, who has been tirelessly keeping ViRo alive with her streams during crunch - all while growing her therapy practice when she isn't streaming. Speaking for the team, we all feel lucky to have her.
She’s become something of an emblem for all we stand for, and as such, we created these enamel pins that we want to send as a token of gratitude to our VIP / Star Patrons.
We'll be sending codes to get these pins to every VIP / Star patron between now and the end of the 2023 year. Details will be coming out this week in a separate patreon post.

As said, its been a while. I hope you'll give us the honor of connecting once again.
