I have loved this movie for over 30 years, it still stands today as a beautiful movie about a pastime that sadly lives in the past and a relationship between father and son that many of us don't appreciate.
2022-09-03 21:59:52 +0000 UTCim glad you guys got the point of this film. This is not a "baseball movie", its a film about a son who's afraid of not following his dreams, like his dad. So he builds a "common ground" a field, a bridge between present day and the past, so he could reconnect with his dad. Baseball was the one thing they both connected with. Most people write it off as a boring baseball movie before they watch it
