I really love this movie and glad you guys liked it too. It's the perfect mix of hilarity and heart. All the main cast brought their A-Game. Alan Arkin deserved his Oscar. I hate children in pageants so I loved the direction of even this dysfunctional family saw everything going on and were horrified, as Dwayne said when he didn’t want Olive to compete "f**k this place!" Plus Bryan Cranston and Dean Norris in the same movie pre-BB is such an added bonus.

It's just so ironic that all those people were so disgusted by Olive but not for anything the other girls were doing, wearing those very inappropriate outfits, spray tans. And Olive was completely innocent, she was just having fun and she honestly looked the best out of all those airbrush girls. I love these characters. I really enjoy Dwayne and Frank's relationship, they really become close by the end and what's really great about them all dancing at the end is they were all having fun and doing it together as a family. I really love Richard's journey, he starts off so unlikable, mean and all about winning, so much so that Olive fears losing but by the end really comes around, for me it starts for him when they sneak his father out of the hospital. I absolutely loved your guys reaction to the pageant. That's how everyone was suppose to react. A fun fact, besides Olive all those other girls were real pageant girls, their costumes and talents. You just have to wonder what the film makers told them and their parents about this film, if they had any idea that they were making fun of them, lol. And Olive really was listening to music during those Grandpa scenes, lol. I don't think you recognized him but Alan Arkin who played the Grandma you might remember from Edward Scissorhands, he was Bill, Kim's dad. He actually won an Oscar I believe for this movie. Greg Kinnear is also a very good and underrated actor. A film I highly suggest is As Good As It Gets. Everyone praises Jack Nicholason but Greg's performance was amazing and does not get enough credit.
