i used to hate that movie but then i heard someone say "no watch it from this perspective instead" and i did and it was a total game changer. i don't want to say what that perspective is because i don't want to spoil anything for them, but it definitely made the movie take on a whole different meaning for me and is now one of my most favorites and one of my comfort movies. it has the same sort of healing to me as little miss sunshine does; but it gets written off as being shallow way too often, and i'm sorry i was guilty of that too for a time.
