Michael always was good at sports. He played basketball as well. Also, Michael didn't appreciate that they made him like he wasn't smart in the beginning of the movie and that he needed this group of people to raise him up to his potential.

2024-03-30 03:07:20 +0000 UTCBasically, Michael found out after the movie was made and released that that Touhy family didn't actually adopt him, he was tricked into signing a conservatorship which gave the family the legal right to use his name and likeness for business deals, books ( the blind side was originally a book), this movie and more. They allegedly made millions off of him. The "mother" claimed she was shocked he filed a lawsuit against them since he was "in his right mind and not physically disabled" when he signed it.

2024-03-30 03:01:44 +0000 UTCHey guys, they showed real pictures throughout the ending credits of Michael and the family at holidays and his games etc. The only thing I know that was embellished is that Michael knew how to play football and didn’t have to learn and he also played on the school’s basketball team. I’m not sure what else is true or not. I did see a special about when they filmed all the coaches trying to recruit Michael because those were the real coaches from the schools at the time.

They basically tricked him into putting him in conservatorship besides an adoption, according to him. It's really sad because this was one of my favorite movies. Everyone did a great job. Sandra Bullock deserved that Oscar.
