Molly Shannon is a national treasure, she's so funny and has always done great with physical comedy, I'm sure she went home with a lot of bruises, lol. She was very similar to Chris Farley in that regard. She has always been one of my favorite SNL alumni, she just put her whole body into it and this character was one of my favorites. I am not sure how this film got Glynis Johns (the grandmother), I mostly knew her from Mary Poppins and While You Were Sleeping but she was so funny, giving her the one F bomb was so good, lol. It's interesting that for such an over the top film Will Farrel is actually pretty subdue and I did like that he was a good guy, he never made fun or laughed at her, so if she did end up with him it would have been fine but I'm glad they swerved us a little bit and had her end up with Slater. And I gotta say too, I thought him being so appalled by what Evian said to Mary that he broke up with her was so refreshing, you just don't see that very often in films and it's not like he had feelings for her he just thought that was cruel and it was nice to see. And I think it's only fair now that you see some of the movies they were referencing like Armageddon and The Full Monty, the Full Monty in particular is really good and Howard's little strip dance at the show will make so much more sense, lol.
