Apparently if you pause at a certain frame when rem is about to get eaten it shows a timeline from cut content that’s only in the LN. in the LN, rem and subaru at one point actually live out their entire lives together instead of saving emilia in the white wale arc. So it shows two frames of them as adults with their kids. You can look it up when you get the chance.

2020-07-08 23:37:59 +0000 UTCGood to see you two reacting to the ep, y'all had some doubts about Subaru's power and why he needed to kill himself, but know that it's a race against time, any action or interaction can change the checkpoint and destroy all of his hopes, thankfully for him it did not have any unchangeable consequence until now but still doing something like gather information at the risk of the checkpoint being too late is a no go, also you need nerves of steel to be able to kill yourself, on theory it looks easy to use that power to your advantage but it's still about killing yourself in a painful way since there's no pill to instantly put you to sleep, I can't even imagine how hard it is to hurt yourself like that so better do it while the blood is rushing to you rather than in your normal state, that makes it a little easier at least. By the way, memory loss is a little tricky here, you lose your memories but not your knowledge, so you know what an apple is but not how it tastes since you don't remember eating it, that's why Crusch can still speak that way and ain't all googoogaga as if she had reverted to her baby years.
