Kurapika does not get a physical upgrade from the scarlet eyes. It only makes him a specialist. That is it. Even today, that's all it does. Kurapika is just smart so he would use the same move on chrollo. He would make himself look like a manipulator by having his chains visible while he slowly wraps the invisible chains around chrollo just like Uvo. Kurapika wasn't as strong as Uvo and even had a lot less aura. He was just smarter. Uvo was a nen user for years while kurapika only knows nen for like 6 months. Nen battles are mostly won by strategy

2021-05-04 03:02:25 +0000 UTCTo think, this arc was barely adapted to its potential. HxH wasn't seasonal like most modern shounen like JJK / MHA nowadays. The staff had to haul ass to pump out eps weekly. I can only imagine if they had time to really work on this series back then.
