XD The dude on the right, forgot his name, was getting hella annoying saying literally the same shit over and over. Like dude, it's an ANIME. We would have a shitty end to this arc if after all this buildup he just killed him without him actually becoming slightly more of a challenge for him. Also, things progress, it's called plot development. Please let the dude in the dreads know that, thanks a bunch. :)

It really hearkens to the whole theme of the first 2 novel volumes. This entire world is pretty much survival of the fittest with very little room for mercy. That doesn't change the fact that the orcs have suffered a lot though. Rimuru's like a glitch in the system, providing everyone with his endless powers.

Geld supposedly ate that majin in an instant and the gore paused Rimuru's lot for only a second. It wasn't like a prolonged staring session the way they portrayed it here. Also, the Orc Lord had some pretty crazy corrosive powers that's similar to Rimuru's predator skill. It was a super risky skill that the Great Sage would've never chosen. Mikami Satoru won because he didn't calculate the odds, but just went for it.
