2023-12-26 09:42:23 +0000 UTCI really like the subtlety of this show. For one, it's entirely told from Ichikawa's perspective so you never really know what Yamada is thinking. From her conversation with the pushy senpai, she brushed off his compliments on her looks, but she brightened up when he mentioned she was funny. Humor is important to her, and she laughed at Ichikawa's joke about the bike. That's what got her interested in him, even if she hasn't fallen in love yet. Definitely look forward to more.

Turned out way better than I expected, and ended up being an S-tier romcom for me. So damn adorable. It definitely has its cringe moments, but those mainly happen early in the season. Once the romance starts turning up, it gets a whole lot better.
