2024-01-31 03:44:30 +0000 UTC"Decided not to give out obligatory chocolates"......... 100% a confession without explicitly confessing. She gave him SO much chocolate prior to saying that. Towards the end, when the title was popping up, he actually said "boku," which refers to oneself (for boys), so he basically said, "Yamada likes me." That type of translation is tricky because of different sentence structure. But yeah, I'm like, "FINALLY! You get it!" I'm so hyped for next episode.

2024-01-30 10:42:56 +0000 UTC"Sayonara" in Japanese term is similar to "farewell" in English. Usually it's used on someone not closed to you. If you used it on someone you know, it's like telling them "I won't be seeing you ever, after this goodbye. Sayonara."

2024-01-30 02:03:12 +0000 UTCWhile I'm not saying that's wrong, but I'd say that "sayonara" was more of her showing that she's very formal with him compared to with how she treats Ichikawa. I'm digging too deep into it now, but I'm surprised she even said bye at all. Thought she'd just snatch up Ichikawa and dip without saying anything ๐
MADHOUSE
2024-01-30 02:01:06 +0000 UTCSomething I saw someone point out elsewhere was that she said "sayonara" to pickup senpai which is a word for bye that indicates not seeing someone for a long time. She basically said "see yuh, come back never!"
