It will slowly be revealed but her well thought out character is a big reason this series has gotten as popular as it is.

That's peak fiction right there and just something enjoyable to shut your brain off to and admire the visuals. Even if you don't, you gotta watch it on your own time. It really is one of the best anime fights of all time.
