it just hit me himmel in the flashback of ep about the blue flowers he said to her he wanted to take frieren back to his hometown to show her his fave flower but if you remember he got lost in the woods near his village and frieren saved him meaning the thing about taking her to his hometown was another way of him wanting to make sure she lived an easy life with him but frieren is denser than the redwood trees

I believe Serie passed Methode because she wasn't afraid of her. Methode reaction to Seriewas like meeting a bear in the wild or a shark in the sea and thinking "oh my, how cute". As for Lernen, i see it as him trying to do the same thing Himmel did for Frieren with the statues. Himmel wanted them as proof that they did exist and not to be forgotten. Lernen on the contrary wouldn't leave any proof of his existence, as he didn't leave his mark on history, which is why he tried to kill Frieren.

Also, I don't know how many people will vouch for me here, but I think you guys should defo check out Dungeon Meshi! Defo one of the better fantasy anime's to come out recently. The aesthetic is kinda similar to Ranking of Kings, mixed with Konosuba type of comedy and of course if you love all the details and science like explanation in doctor stone, then you'll love how Dungeon Meshi handles things
