Being only 17 Maomao has for sure seen so much death not just cause she was working in a brothel but outside of it too. No wonder she don't want the drinking age limited to 20.😂 On the serious tip though the lightheartedness gets less now as the drama amps up more. Not that we won't get the laughs though. 😉

2024-04-05 22:32:54 +0000 UTCMy favorite moments in this show are when Maomao gets genuinely serious, like when she had to order Lihua’s ladies in waiting around, or when she explained the reason she puts dried clay on her face, or in this episode when she asks Jinshi to kill her with poison if it ever comes to that. I like the fact that we have a female mc with this more stoic attitude, and at the same time she’s not all doom and gloom or robotic. Idk it just feels a lot less tropey than usual.
