2024-05-27 02:59:33 +0000 UTCI think this arc in the manga was around 9 chapters, so yes, extremely short and forgettable. The anime is making it so that it 1. Adds more context to the training 2. Adds more moments and interaction with the Hashira, who are a lot of people's favorite characters and want to see more of 3. Making it memorable because of the amount of content they're adding into it, naturally, if you're adapting 9 chapters you are going to get what, 2-3 episodes max depending on the length of the chapters lol. I don't get the discourse, but I feel it has a lot to do with people disliking Demon Slayer, or finding flaws, because of how popular it has become. I didn't see anyone crying about the training arcs in Yuyu hakusho, AOT, Naruto, Bleach, etc. Training arcs are necessary to see the progression of the power scale.
