Honestly, I think the manga is a better experience than the anime. The fanservice isn't quite as bad, but more importantly, it's much easier to ignore what is there and the art is FAR better than the anime will ever offer you. I think you get all the hype that it has to offer, while the low points don't feel as bad.

2024-10-30 00:50:57 +0000 UTCMan this guy's should react to the rest of the series. II'd love to see their uncomfortable reaction in season 2 nd the FBI bursting through their door in the middle of the episode lol

2024-10-29 22:23:54 +0000 UTCI’m so glad I read this. I started the series and dropped it after a few episodes, but if it actually gets better I might suck it up and finish it. Fates one of my fav series.

2024-10-29 20:06:45 +0000 UTCThis is a crazy unexpected reaction, but I love it. Kaleid is such a weird series. It’s simultaneously the absolute worst and absolute best Fate series. At the start it’s a god awful magical girl show with WAY too much fan service of young girls. It’s so uncomfortable to try getting through. But then it starts to rapidly become the Fate series most dedicated to the lore. It pulls out some of the absolute hardest fights in all of the series, it dives deeper into topics than just about anything else, and the later arcs are just pure hype. It’s crazy how a show could so rapidly flip from unbearable garbage to one of my favorite Fate projects ever. For example, this universe’s Shirou is easily the most badass version of him and he shows up again later in the series to do even more work. Illya herself has some INSANE fights, especially later on in the manga where she basically blinds herself of pushes to near death to win a fight. Unbelievably hype. Basically, this is a series that starts as low as a show could possibly go and then rapidly climbs. Also, the anime itself is a pretty shit adaptation of all this. The art and animation has mostly sucked, while the manga, especially lately, is stunning.

2024-10-29 12:12:42 +0000 UTCOne other thing. Lancer definitely has more L’s than Sakura. Take a look at this. https://youtu.be/0gKf7RtrUys?si=Ku6cIJZm9nwzBbuW

2024-10-29 05:36:08 +0000 UTCAnd to correct something, heroic Spirit EMIYA comes from a different timeline that we’ve never seen. But the closest route to his is the Fate Route.

2024-10-29 05:34:50 +0000 UTCOh. By the way, Girlgamesh was another person using the Gilgamesh card. That’s why she was a girl. But Javon was right about the personality taking over slightly.

2024-10-29 05:32:53 +0000 UTCThe saddest thing for me is that this Sakura actually wasn’t filled with Worms, and she died.

2024-10-29 05:30:47 +0000 UTCFunny thing, there’s a Fate Stay Night UBW movie. It was made by Studio Dean too. The fights are a bit outdated. But the Gilgamesh vs Shirou fight still looks pretty cool. I’d recommend looking it up.

2024-10-29 05:30:38 +0000 UTCTo answer your question, that girl at the end was Illya. From an alternate time like where Kiritsugu and Irisviel were still alive and she is actually just s little kid. So she’s not the little murder girl we know and love.

2024-10-29 05:28:11 +0000 UTCPretty much after this movie the story shifts to an actual fate series which made it worth it

2024-10-29 05:00:40 +0000 UTCI also forgot to say. As much as I love this movie, parts of the third season the movie after this and everything after in the manga, I cannot recommend the series at all. The first season is meh. It's just a magical girl anime but the second season is just straight up loli fan service. It was a pain to get through.

2024-10-29 04:50:06 +0000 UTCJust to clarify some stuff, he offscreened berserker and all the people he was fighting besides saber were masters from fate zero and stay night. Shirou also solo'd the whole war in one night. so the movie is basically a follow up to the 3rd season of fate kaleid, a reward for siting through some shit.

2024-10-29 04:49:10 +0000 UTCI’m only 25 minutes in, so maybe you realized this later. But after Miyu wished to be real siblings with Shirou, her eyes changed color, from their strange ethereal glowing to the same shade as Shirou’s. There wasn’t any mind manipulation though. Shirou just saw her eyes and realized what happened, so he decided to respect the wish as well.

2024-10-29 04:23:33 +0000 UTCSo fun fact. You pointed out how “it’s all different” well that’s a very big thing in fate. There’s the thing called the Second Magic in Fate, aka the operation of parallel worlds. That’s one of the reasons there’s so many iterations. And another interesting thing, the Second Magic is also called “The Kaleidoscope”. So this movies title is also a reference to that Magic.
