2025-04-04 03:47:07 +0000 UTCI’ve actually never finished Stampede, but everything I did watch looked incredible. My biggest problem is that every new Studio Orange show makes me more upset we’re probably never getting a season 2 of Land of the Lustrous. Genuinely one of the most visually stunning manga ever with some incredibly dark moments, yet it’s only got one season of an adaptation. It’s a gorgeous adaptation and I’d love more than anything to see the studio now 7 years more experienced coming back on it, but it’s just not happening. Apparently the studio would like to, but they just haven’t gotten the permission for whatever reason. Which is such a shame because it was their first real attempt to prove they could do a full CG show and make it look good. We wouldn’t have Beastars or Trigun Stampede without that first season of Land of the Lustrous proving they could nail the style. They’re such an incredibly talented studio and everything by them is guaranteed to be visually unique, but I’ve just got to keep hoping they get permission to go back again.
