Patreon Projects Moving Forward

I want to talk about current Patreon projects that have been on-going, dead or otherwise.

Current Projects:

Leslie in Paradise (LiP): Honestly a proof of concept with a massive scope that I feel is too much for a singular programmer, artist, producer, etc. While it did drum up some interest, the returns haven't been amazing. I don't think I'll kill the project but it might go on hiatus for a while in favor of a new option.

Leslie Growth Adventure: Another experimental project that I believe I also went a little too ambitious on. I think having too many parameters for people to vote on left Leslie in a weird body shape/type that really doesn't please anyone other than the real FREAKS (I love you all especially haha). I think it might be better to go with a single theme for the sake of streamlining things. That said, I'm not sure if I want to continue this. I think the last pic left it off in a good place. :3

Monthly Fan Art Poll: I think about 60-80% of you enjoy this but I could be wrong. I do know it really doesn't incentivize new people to join. It's kind of a little bit of gravy in addition to seeing my art early.

Please let me know how you feel about these projects in a DM or a comment here. It might change my mind about it!

GOING FORWARD

So, this is what I think might be a better alternative for everyone going forward is giving everyone the option to vote for one MAIN project to work on every month. This will replace the monthly fan art "Slot" with something more robust. It'll also be an experiment to try something new and see if it sticks. Here's what I have in mind.

Comic Series: a 2-3 page a month mini series where everyone can either vote on what happens in it or the subject the page goes over. I think I want to give more power to our Tier 2 and higher patrons and let them submit ideas to vote on :3. My Ideas for it so far are:

• Boob and Board!: A story about a college student (New OC created by you all) who gets room and board at a home with Leslie and her daughter Lily. Shennanigans ensue and probably goes as well you think will XD. There will be voting options between pages where you can choose what will happen next. Whether it be letting this OC be a total degenerate or an honorable person, it is up to you all :3
• L & L: Same concept as above but silly little one offs of Leslie and Lily being a dysfunctional mother-daughter pair in funny situations. Kind of what I usually do but expanded. These will probably be easier to produce so there'll be more a month. ^^

***I definitely want to get some of the higher tier patrons in on these as character cameos. ^^

Short Games: These will be shorter projects with a smaller scope. That way I can get something playable out there for people to enjoy and to draw more interest :3. I'm not sure if I can get a full game out a month but I'll try my best to get something playable by the end of it! My Ideas for it so far are:

• Pet/Pokemon game: As you've seen (or not XD), I have a battle a battle system worked out in Renpy. I also have a lot of modules that can lend itself to a simple Pokemon style game but I may have to dial it back by a lot. It'll probably end up being a simple take care of a pet and it will evolve/grow over time as you feed it. ^^ With simple QTEs for jobs to earn money for food and maybe an actual battle event to earn money if you all like it!
• Linear Growth game: As the title says, I can work on some simpler more linear growth games containing a single theme and a character chosen by you all! It'll probably boil down to an escape style game where failure rewards you with better eye candy but also a harder time to escape successfully. XD
• Short Story (Maybe L3wd? :3): Same concept as the comic just in the form an actual dating sim/story. You know, what Renpy was made for? XD I'm not sure what the theme will be exactly. Whether it be a brand new story for you all to vote on or a more intimate story to get to know my characters a bit more with some sexy times :3

New Growth Drive: As stated above, I think a more streamlined growth drive will be better with shorter sequences and characters being swapped out. Progression will be tied to metrics but if social media fails us, we can have a vote on Patreon to decide how it ends :3. Maybe also have votes not only count toward progression but also manipulate the characters assets in a way where it makes sense.

Fan Character or an OC!: Just something we can vote on. Doesn't have to always be Leslie :3

Standard or Battle Style Drive: We can have a standard style growth sequence or a battle style where there's an enemy to beat.

Double Fan Art Polls: Not sure how popular this will be but with this option I think I'll try to do at least two polls a month. Maybe a Public and Patreon Fan Art Poll and a Dawn's choice a month. Kind of an option to keep the Status Quo going but with more stuff.

Continue Leslie in Paradise: Honestly, I don't mind continuing to create content for this game. I think I just need more time to focus on it a month xnx. Even the time I spend to do a fan art poll will help. This will also be a good tell to see who actually wants to see more of this :3
