To Boldly Flee Progress 1

Well, ladies, gentlemen and non-binary lovelies, it happened. I passed 185 Patrons. Which means I am now officially working on a review of the infamous film 'To Boldly Flee'. And I feel like all of you would like to stay up to date with the progress of the project as I start to work on this! I should also tell you that my goal is to get this out in October or November. So it'll be a little wait, but I think it'll be worth it!

So I have a really concrete plan on how I want to approach this. It's fun enough to be entertaining while still allowing me to get some sharp hits in. If you don't want to know, I suggest not reading too far into the rest of this post.

Ok, so the concept I have is as follows. The video will essentially have two main chunks that I'm working on as if they're seperate projects. The first half is a straight-forward review of the movie, discussing it in absolute detail arguably unwarranted. The second part, and this is the big twist, is going to be a large plotline based around the lore of my old content. The sort of tongue-in-cheek gag is that my character is enthralled in something much like TBF, but based around his own content, and he obviously doesn't like that idea.

And this is the script for the second chunk, with an outline at the start. Long-time fans will recognize quite a few characters, and everyone else should be fine. The joke is that this is all a little too obscure. I want someone to find my exclusively from this video and say "What the fuck is all this? Who is Tommy? Who is this Dad Scientist?" It'll be great.

I'm really excited to do this video, despite everything. For years now, I've had to aim to make most of my videos 20-30 minutes long no matter what, and it's good to be working on a video that is just naturally going to be over an hour long. And it's also good to know that people will watch it no matter what, so I can really go crazy with this.

I hope to start streaming it in chunks in September, and that's the part I dread the most. having to watch the movie. :\
